Cheap and simple dry skin remedy: Bio Oil!

I suffer with extremely dry skin on my face, so much so that it gets to a point where it's actually painful. This is probably because I suffer with eczema. I can't use 'nice' moisturizers as my skin is so sensitive, so I'm stuck using a boring old cream from the doctors. However to give my horrible dry skin an extra boost, I've discovered (years after everyone else) that bio oil is so so effective, and cheap!

If you're the same as me and suffer from sore, dry skin, or even just want to give your skin a moisture boost, then you should give this a go:

1. Dampen your face
2. Slather a generous amount of bio-oil on your face. I avoid my nose and chin, as I tend to get oily skin there, so smearing MORE oil on is probably not wise
3. Done!

It takes quite a while to sink in, so you're best to do this either at night or during the day if you know you won't be going out anytime soon. Also you don't have to wet your face first, but I think it helps it to sink in better and makes it a bit more moisturising and efficient. I found that this really 'quenched' my dry skin, and also seemed to help to even out my skin tone too. It's become my go-to remedy when my skin is being a pain! Simple but effective, and great if you have sensitive skin!

Let me know if you have any other dry skin remedies, I'm always on the lookout!

My most used eye shadow palette: MUA Undressed!

I have been meaning to write this post for a while, as I really wanted to tell you guys about how much I love MUA eyeshadows, especially the 'Undress' me palette. This is, rather inconspicuously, a dupe for Urban Decay's 'Naked' palette but at a fraction of the price. Anyway, time for some swatches!

Left to right: Shades 1-6

Here is the top row swatched. Unfortunately some of the shadows don't show up very well due to my paleness and the fact I only used my phone camera, but I can promise you that when applied to the eye these do not disappoint! There are four shimmer and two matte shades in this top row, making it very versatile. Shade 1 is a beautiful shimmery highlighter which looks really great in the inner corner as well as for a highlight. Shade 3 is actually my most used shadow, as it makes an absolutely perfect 'transition' colour for blending other shadows through the crease with. I love these colours so much!

Left to right: Shades 7-12 (BUT for some reason, I swatched shade 12 before 11)

The bottom row is where the darker, more smokey colours live. These shadows, as you can see, are all beautifully pigmented and show up really well on the lid. I absolutely adore shade 12 (second from left), it's a dupe for Urban Decay's 'gunmetal' and is a gorgeous shimmery blue/ grey colour. The darker goldy/ brown colours make a great smokey eye. Not a single shade in this whole palette disappoints me, which is probably why it's my most used! So many looks can be achieved with this great selection of shadows.

Let me know if you have tried out this palette what you think of it. The only thing I do wish is that they were a bit more inventive with their shadow names, shade 1-12 is just boring, come on MUA! At £4 I think it's an absolute bargain, and I recommend you all add it to your makeup collection!

DRESSLINK

Hey guys! So, I don't know about you, but I am a sucker for some cheap and cheerful online shopping. I have heard more and more people talk about DRESSLINK; an online Chinese wholesale store, so I decided to give it a try. Since it's wholesale, the clothes are mouth wateringly cheap. I cannot recommend this website enough to you guys. Delivery wasn't too steep considering it's all the way from China, and I was amazed by how quickly my items arrived. These trousers were something like £6, but they feel like pretty good quality and I'm super happy with them! Seriously, go and have a look if you're wanting to revamp your Spring wardrobe but struggle to afford Topshop or Urban Outfitters. I would definitely order from here again! I may do a small clothing haul type post on here soon, as I've accumulated quite a few new items in the past wee while.

These are the trousers which I ordered, I've put a click through link to this outfit on lookbook, so if you like it then do give it some hype!

Vaseline Spray & Go!

I don't know what it is about Vaseline, but it is a brand that I always feel I can trust. With this is mind, when I saw this new moisturiser I just had to give it a go. What really caught my eye was the aerosol type can that it comes in... What a good idea! I am terrible with applying moisturisers or body butters simply because of the mess and hassle, plus I hate feeling like a slippery bar of soap whilst waiting for them to dry in. This is super quick and easy to apply, as well as having a nice light forumla which dries in very quickly. I have been using this every day since I bought it and my skin feels noteably softer. In addition to all that, it smells glorious. I love this stuff so much! I actually look forward to applying it (that may sound a little sad, but it's such a novelty to apply moisturiser like this!). At the small price of £3.99 from Superdrug (I'm sure it's available elsewhere but that's where I bought mine) I would have to recommend you give this a go for a no fuss daily moisturiser!

M.A.C Russian Red

This is my first ever M.A.C lipstick and it is the best thing to happen to my make up collection in a very long time. This lipstick is dreamy! I have gathered quite a collection of red lipsticks over the years, but this is by far my favourite and is definitely worth the slightly steep price (£15) if you are as into red lips as I. It's a lovely, deep, blue toned red (great for making the toothy pegs look whiter!). The one thing I would say is that due to this being such an intense matte, it is fairly drying and can be a little tricky to apply as it tugs a bit on the lips. I don't mind this as it means that it lasts forever on my lips. Definitely a new staple in my collection!

Just look at it!
